Austcorp Executive are partnering with a well established design, manufacture and service provider of heavy mobile equipment. They work closely with the mining, construction, agricultural and general freight industries throughout Australia.

The team are looking to recruit an experienced Mechanical Engineer to join their well established Engineering team in Perth. 

As the Mechanical Design Engineer your day - to - day will include: 

• Produce detailed drawings and models of specialised heavy mobile equipment. 
• Communicate with other departments (Engineering, Production, Procurement), provide updates, raise issues, and attend team meetings.
• Review and specify materials to ensure they are available, within budget, meet specifications and are the best value for money products available.
• Perform checks to ensure the accuracy and consistency of all project drawings and documents throughout the design and detail phase.
• Ensure compliance with standards, policies, and procedures.
• Verify designs via strength analysis using manual calculations and FEA.
• Demonstrate a high standard of personal safety and safe design practices. 

A little bit about you:

• 3 + years’ experience with the design and development of heavy mobile equipment 
• Degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Demonstrated experience with SolidWorks, AutoCAD, FEA (Highly Regarded)
• Responding to internal engineering requests
• Working knowledge of ADR, RVS, VSB6 (Highly Regarded)
