In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for ensuring operational excellence by maintaining high safety and quality standards, fostering high-performance teams, driving continuous improvement in systems and processes, optimising production and maintenance plans, and achieving key performance targets aligned with the company’s strategic objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the General Manager in daily operations and strategic initiatives.
- Collaborate with workshop Supervisors and Sales team to optimise production processes and enhance productivity.
- Develop and implement reporting programs to monitor workflow and identify areas for improvement.
- Motivate the Sales team to deliver exceptional customer service.
- Coordinate and oversee operations in the CADCAM section.
- Assist in managing and maintaining manufacturing and information systems.
- Enforce legal requirements and uphold company policies and procedures.
- Identify inefficiencies and ensure compliance to mitigate risks.
- Evaluate suppliers and subcontractors to maintain high standards.
- Monitor workflow across all business sections and ensure resource availability.
- Provide regular reporting data and KPIs to stakeholders.
- Attend and contribute to meetings as required.
- Undertake any other duties as assigned by Management.
- Trade qualification in Metal Fabrication (Light or Heavy) is highly advantageous OR 10 years + industry experience
- Formal management training and understanding of Lean Business Principles.
- Proven experience in operations management or a related field.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to analyse data and make informed decisions.
- Proficiency in computer-based information systems and excellent computer literacy.
