The Business:
Currently in search of an established Operations Manager for one of Melbourne's largest processing manufacturers operating out of their flagship highly automated site. The business has invested significantly in recent years and can boast one of the most advanced sites for its industry with major future potential.
The role will be reporting into the Head of Operations nationally whilst having full responsibility across Engineering, Production, Supply Chain etc. This position is not for an average performer - it offers daily variety and challenges and the scope to make a direct and expected contribution to the company’s performance. The role will be hands-on from time to time with coaching and mentoring managers/supervisors/team leaders onsite.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a team of experienced stakeholders to support the visions of the company. Maximising performance and profitability.
- Oversee all the operation's and hands-on management when priorities arise.
- Investigate, analyse, and implement preventative actions for quality and safety incidents or near misses.
- Developing and managing annual budgets, taking action when needed to address when they need constant monitoring.
- Set & consistently keep KPI's high while improving efficiencies and productivity in operations.
- Playing an active role in developing a continuous improvement culture.
About you:
- Prior experience in a leadership position within a food, meat or poultry manufacturing environment.
- Degree or Trade qualifications, with strong knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) Safe Operating Procedures and HACCP principles.
- Training in LEAN Six Sigma or equivalent is desirable.
- Strong leadership capability with experience leading a team of trades.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to deal with a variety of stakeholders.
- If you have worked in food manufacturing or meat/poultry would be highly desired.
- Above Market Salary depending on the candidate's experience.
- Training and continuous improvement will be provided to the successful candidate.
