Be responsible for overseeing and managing the company’s DC in Western Sydney with a focus on developing staff and be prepared to be hands-on when priorities arise.
Key Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience gained in a similar role within short shelf life or a DC environment.
- In depth knowledge and hands on experience in a fast moving DC, particularly a fresh produce pick packing site with distribution to supermarket chains.
- High-level knowledge and/or experience in the area of quality assurance and knowledge of fresh produce ripening.
- Strong leadership skills that build cohesive teams, along with productive and positive workplace culture.
- Strong oral and written communications skills.
- Interpersonal skills to work effectively with both internal and external parties.
- Detailed orientated ability to perform work with a high degree of accuracy.
- Ability to effectively prioritise and execute tasks to meet scheduling priorities, demands and timelines.
- Safety Focus, large number of forklifts on site.
- Lean Practitioner / Quality Assurance certification and/or a relevant Food Safety Accreditation is preferred, however not essential.
