Power Systems Engineer Opportunity!

Core Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute detailed models for static, dynamic, and electromagnetic analyses.
• Perform comprehensive power system studies, including RMS and EMT analyses.
• Conduct grid connection studies and model validation for wind farms and other renewable energy projects.
• Design control and protection systems for renewable energy solutions.
• Oversee project deliverables, managing resources and timelines effectively.
• Provide technical mentoring and support to junior engineers.

Required Qualifications and Skills:
Essential for all candidates:

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of industry experience (additional experience required for senior-level roles).
• Proficiency with power system analysis tools such as PSSE, PSCAD, DIgSILENT PowerFactory, or ETAP.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred but not mandatory:

• Postgraduate degree in Engineering.
• Knowledge of Python; experience with FORTRAN is a bonus.
• CPEng or NER professional registration.
• Experience in project management and leading teams.
• Familiarity with protection and earthing system design, including CDEGS modeling.
• Willingness to contribute to multidisciplinary projects and comprehensive client solutions.
• Published research or active engagement in technical industry communities.
