About the Role:
The purpose of this role is to manage the procurement function. The organisation has changed certain procurement processes and is looking for someone to update and bring new idea's. The person will implement and organise a best fit procurement strategy.
Responsibilities will include:
- Provide expert category analysis and recommendations across all areas mainly in the delivery of materials to provide cost savings and reduce lead times.
- Assemble and report on data relating to supplier performance, identifying improvement initiatives for your category.
- Assisting and analysing suppliers cost and invoice validation.
- Facilitate measurement/calculations and maintain KPI measures for relevant vendors.
- Ensure successful delivery of goods across the organisation and on time to meet business needs.
- Cost saving strategies presented and implemented.
- Cross collaborate with a number of different teams to ensure that the organisations agenda is on time.
- Develop strong relationship with suppliers and new suppliers to ensure the materials are best in quality to meet customers expectations.
- Work closely with suppliers to ensure on-time, on-spec deliveries and follow up shortages & missed deliveries.
- Degree Qualified in relevant fields highly desirable.
- Strong experience in tendering and procurement principles and procedures.
- Minimum 5 year’s experience in Procurement Management required.
- Managed supplier relationships.
- Exceptional Communication skills.
- Excellent Computer Skills, (Advanced Excel a must) ERP knowledge such as excel.
