My client is a market leader and manufacturer. With customers in over 130 countries, they are one of the major chemical manufactures in the world. They are in a growth stage, and now require a new team member for their Melbourne location.
The Role:
- Responsible for the product management functions of the respective product lines, including being the technical expert, developing and communicating the value of their product offering and supporting the sales team to deliver growth.
- Develop value proposition, product offering, messaging and how to position products for each market/application.
- Work closely with products used in major projects, prepare proposals and run trails.
- Support and guide the sales force with in-depth training programs.
- Travel interstate to different client sites.
The Candidate:
- 7+ years’ experience in a product management, process engineering or sales role, involving Polymer chemistry, or separation chemistry used in the mining and waste water sectors.
- Technical acumen. Ability to understand the customer’s process and converse deeply with engineers and site technical personnel.
- A qualification in Science, Chemistry or Process Engineering.
- Customer focused with the ability to relay technical information back to clients.
- Ability to liaise with internal stakeholders to gain maximum efficiency and sales growth of a particular product portfolio.
- Strong communication and time management skills.
