About the Role
As a Product Manager of the Surgical Product category, you will make a major contribution to the ongoing growth and design leadership in the category, managing and shaping the development of a critical portfolio of products that are designed to improve the day-to-day life of their users and to contribute to improving the world of hospital care.
As part of the Marketing Team, you will be reporting to the Head of Brand and Communications and working collaboratively in a cross functional environment with key stakeholders from our sales, design, supply chain and operations teams.

About the Role
As a Product Manager of the Surgical Product category, you will make a major contribution to the ongoing growth and design leadership in the category, managing and shaping the development of a critical portfolio of products that are designed to improve the day-to-day life of their users and to contribute to improving the world of hospital care.
As part of the Marketing Team, you will be reporting to the Head of Brand and Communications and working collaboratively in a cross functional environment with key stakeholders from our sales, design, supply chain and operations teams.
You will be responsible for:
- Working with the leadership team to contribute to and inform the strategic direction of our surgical consumables business
- Directing the upstream marketing CPP and surgical consumables.
- Working collaboratively with key stakeholders to capture market insights
- Analysis of the market, competition, and user trends in order to document and ensure the portfolio is leading the market’s needs
- Development and maintenance of a needs-based customer segmentation and broader stakeholder mapping and analysis
- Value proposition development based on customer insights derived from our design process and from ongoing feedback on our products and services
- Using insights to develop concepts & clear product features and benefits that ensure the delivery of short, mid and long term business results for the category
- Development of business cases to support new value creation within the category
- The development and delivery of product roadmaps to guide investment and the management of development horizons for products in the category
- Project managing and driving the commercial development pathway of new products from concept to launch
- Ensuring products are developed in compliance with Quality & Regulatory requirements
- Ongoing evaluation and lifecycle management of the portfolio
- Working international supply partners to ensure continuity of supply of products
- Educating and ensuring the customer facing team understands and are equipped to communicate products effectively
About You
- An ability to blend a strong strategic overview with the detailed design and management of projects
- An ability to blend the competing demands of the customer and the commercial needs of the business to drive value for both
- Knowledge of the hospital and wider healthcare market and ideally clinical training or related medical industry experience
- A demonstrable ability to manage a portfolio of projects bringing complex stakeholder groups together to ensure effective delivery
- Strong written and verbal communications and negotiation skills
- An ability to design and run effective product training programs
- Willingness to travel
