The Company:
AustCorp Executive Recruitment are working with a large Facility Management organisation with a strong client base of high profile Government client. 

The Role:
The Program Manager is responsible for implementing project controls management from cost, commercial & planning perspective. You'll also ensure consistent delivery of high quality compliant projects in a Government environment.

Duties:
  • Work alongside the GM Projects to deliver timely and cost effective system upgrade projects - BMS, HVAC, Electrical, Hydraulic, Fire & other Building systems
  • Work with operations to deliver onsite services and corporate projects
  • Lead a team of 6 Project Managers
  • Track costs, deliverables and performance and profit measurables
  • Some commercial / financial oversight (P+L performance)
  • Develop and optimise process
  • Optimise PM services and labour and material costs
  • Project controls methodology and tools
  • PO Management, invoicing, timesheet and variations
  • Improve Projects margin by contract variations
  • Reporting and presentations
  • Managing cost inflation and put measures are in place to reduce exposure
  • Simplify processes and procedures at site level
  • Coach and mentor projects team
The Requirements:
  • ~10 years experience in Program Management, Projects, Controls and Commercial roles
  • Sustaining capital experience is preferred
  • Degree qualified e.g. Engineering, Project Management or similar
  • Background in Quantity Surveying or Commercial / Financial advantageous
  • Experience in a Building / Facilities Management environment
  • Experience in delivering projects in a large Government environment would be advantageous
  • People leadership of a team e.g. 5-10 people
  • High level of commercial acumen
This role would suit a QS / Commercial Manager with strong understanding of project management principles and process improvement approach, or a Program Manager with top organisational and stakeholder management skills.
