Job description
Seeking an experienced Project Manager in Adelaide to run a project consisting of a mix of structural, M&E, HVAC, hydraulics and building fit out works - all in an existing premises. Prior experience in a university, research, medical facility, or similar laboratory environment would be ideal.
Initial 6-month contract with the potential of a permanent opportunity for the right person, it is a great opportunity to get your foot in the door with a large organisation that offers great career progression opportunities.
As the Project Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the successful execution, and completion of work, within the designated time-frame and budget. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineers, technicians, and contractors, to ensure the high-quality delivery (The initial project is mostly set up, subcontractor is appointed and on-site, our client requires a Project Manager to run it).

Responsibilities:
- Coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure effective project execution and successful delivery
- Prepare project schedules, resource allocation plans, and cost estimates
- Monitor project progress, identify potential risks and issues, and develop mitigation strategies
- Conduct regular project status meetings, communicate updates to stakeholders, and ensure effective communication channels throughout the project life-cycle
- Manage project documentation, including contracts, technical specifications, and change orders
- Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely procurement of required equipment and materials
- Conduct quality assurance checks to ensure compliance with project specifications and industry standards
- Oversee installation, testing, and commissioning activities, ensuring adherence to project requirements and client expectations
- Provide technical support and guidance to the project team, troubleshooting any technical issues that arise during the project
- Foster positive relationships with clients, ensuring customer satisfaction and identifying opportunities for business growth
Requirements:
- Licensed Builder / Supervisor (Preferred, not essential)
- Proven experience as a Project Manager in the building, services, engineer or fit out sectors
- Strong knowledge of BMS systems, including HVAC, lighting controls, energy management,
- Strong knowledge of industry standards and regulations
- Demonstrated ability to manage and deliver multiple concurrent installations of a broad range of M&E / HVAC services and building works
- Excellent leadership and team management skills
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficient in project management software and tools
- PMP Certification (Desirable)
