Project Manager - Elec and Comms

A great opportunity to join a leading Electrical / Data Communications provider, working in the Defence sector. 

Bae criteria:
Strong understanding of Electrical systems and Data Comms including: - Upgrades, Fit-Outs and Minor Project Works (Values $500K - $5M).

Prior experience working on projects in the Defence sector and holding a Defence clearance is highly desirable.

You will ideally have an Electrical or Data / Communications Engineering or Trade background, having completed formal project management training and held a project management office role for 5+ years, with strong stakeholder engagement skills and have the ability to mentor a Project Coordinator.
  
Duties:
  • Support existing and new clients through effective team and account oversight.
  • Ensure Data / Communications and/or Electrical projects are properly priced and delivered and that the correct certifications are in place.
  • Ensuring compliance against statutory requirements, codes of practice, laws and regulations concerning the delivery of Data / Comms and Electrical projects across NSW.
  • Developing Project Programme of Works and ensure delivery timescales are achieved.
  • Utilising data and analytics to drive decisions around upcoming project opportunities within New South Wales.
Qualifications
  • Electrical Engineering Degree, Electrical Trade or Data / Comms Trade background.
  • Open cablers license preferred
  • 5+ years project management office oversight of Electrical or Data / Communications projects (Minor Works and Major Upgrades) ideally within Defence,  State / Territory Government or Federal Government sites.
  • Essential to be an Australian Citizen, hold a clear National Police Check and able to secure additional Security Checks (Baseline or NV1 Defence Clearance).
