Job description

The Role:
We are seeking a project Planner with an electrical background to join a well-established services organisation.

The team provides maintenance services for switchboard upgrades, Electrical Lighting and Powerpoints upgrades and new installs. Project values up to $10 Million.

Responsible for planning of workloads, labour and materials across mainly commercial and industrial facilities.

The Duties:
  • Plan large projects for high value distribution board changeovers, rewires, refurbishment of new sites, switchgear replacement projects etc.
  • Project planning, monitoring, tracking progress for labour and materials
  • Scheduling and booking additional resources during project
  • Manage variations
  • Refer to agreed schedule of rates
  • Some ad hoc RFQ pricing 
  • Ensure accurate and regular reports are generated across projects 
The Requirements:
  • Background / experience in Electrical services, Construction, Mechanical, Data /Comms, Projects or Trades experiences (electrical preferred)
  • Experience in a similar planning/scheduling role in commercial sector
  • 5 years of proactive planning experience
  • Excellent Visio, MS Project or related software skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in order to communicate effectively with key stakeholders
  • High attention to detail
  • Must have the right to work in Australia as this role does not offer sponsorship
