The Role:
Purchasing & Inventory Control:
- Lead supplier contract negotiations, through analytical insights and cost validation.
- Liaise with local and international supply partners.
- Negotiate with suppliers with regards to delivery times, product quality etc.
- Raising and processing purchase orders in line with scheduling.
- Facilitate quotes, enquiries, orders, and supplier account details.
- Create inventory purchase orders from requisitions after reviewing stock levels.
- Undertake stocktaking activities.
- Managing, analysing and improving local freight and delivery partners.
- Maintain item master file and inventory management system.
- Replenishment planning and stock movement analysis.
- Managing and co-ordinating warehouse and delivery functions.
The Candidate:
- At least 3 years of experience in a purchasing and logistics environment
- Excellent customer service, communication, and organisational skills.
- Ability to multi-task and prioritise with attention to detail.
- Microsoft Office skills and experience
- Experience with an ERP environment for inventory management, preferred.
- Proven strategic planning experience.
- Highly motivated, enthusiastic, and positive attitude.
- Ability to work both autonomously and within a team.
- Clean Drivers Licence
