Job description
Our manufacturing, design and solution client based across Australia and NZ would now relish the opportunity to bring a Quality, CI & Lean management specialist into the business who can make an immediate and effective impact.
The Quality & CI Manager role will oversee quality and continuous improvement processes within products and services to meet and exceed customer expectations and industry standards. They will develop, lead and implement the Quality Management System (QMS) and maintain ISO 9001 certification whilst establishing quality standards, audits, and fostering a continuous improvement culture.
Key Responsibilities
The Quality & CI Manager role will oversee quality and continuous improvement processes within products and services to meet and exceed customer expectations and industry standards. They will develop, lead and implement the Quality Management System (QMS) and maintain ISO 9001 certification whilst establishing quality standards, audits, and fostering a continuous improvement culture.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and implement quality management systems, policies, and procedures
- Develop and manage the QMS documentation in alignment with ISO 9001 standards
- Conduct regular audits and inspections to identify areas for improvement
- Champion lean principles to improve operational efficiency
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives and facilitate lean workshops
- Establish metrics and KPIs to monitor QMS effectiveness and process improvements
- Coordinate and facilitate Lean events/workshops to improve operational outcomes
- Train and coach Lean Continuous Improvement methodologies across multiple business functions
- Analyse complex data sets to identify improvement opportunities for end-to-end business
- Implement and drive Lean activities in quality, cycle times, process improvement, process flow, machine availability, flow, and waste removal through lean techniques
- Facilitate Root Cause Analysis on Waste, Quality, and Lost Time issues
- Develop and implement KPIs to improve operational outcomes and Lean initiatives
- Accreditation in ISO 9001, preferred internal auditor qualifications, and certification in quality management and lean methodologies are required
- Proven experience in quality management and continuous improvement within the design and construction industry is essential
- Proficiency in quality management software and tools is necessary
- Strong leadership and project management skills are critical
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities are a must
