AUSTCORP are seeking a tech-savvy, detail-driven go-getter with a passion for quality and a strong voice on-site? We’re looking for a motivated individual to join our Asphalt Crew as a Quality Assurance (QA) Officer — someone who’s not afraid to roll up their sleeves and help us keep our work sharp, safe, and up to spec.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a recent engineering graduate or civil labourer/operator who wants hands-on experience in the field, working alongside an experienced crew on real infrastructure projects.

What You’ll Be Doing  

• Monitor and ensure the quality of asphalt materials and placement on-site
• Assist with compaction testing, temperature checks, and layer thickness tracking
• Document and report test results clearly and accurately
• Help implement and maintain QA procedures and compliance with specifications
• Use digital tools and apps to streamline reporting and workflow
• Work closely with supervisors, operators, and external testers with professionalism and confidence
• Putting together and submitting daily quality reports for our asphalt works
• Giving admin support to our project managers and site crews
• Helping collate documents  – think Quality, Safety & Environmental Plans, SWMS, ITPs, inductions, and more.

What We’re Looking For

• Great organisation and time management skills – you’ll be juggling a few things at once
• Have a current driver licence
• White Card (Construction Induction Card)
• Is confident and respectful when dealing with authority (you’re the QA – your word matters!)
• Confident using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project)
• A strong team player with a positive, can-do attitude
• Sharp attention to detail and a proactive approach to solving problems
• Some knowledge of quality systems would be a bonus, but we’re happy to train the right person
• Great Communicator
• Is keen to learn, quick to adapt and not afraid of getting their boots dirty
