We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Control Analyst to join a Flavours team.
This role ensures the consistent quality, compliance, and integrity of our flavour products through analytical, sensory, and quality control checks.
You’ll play a key role in maintaining standards, supporting regulatory compliance, and driving continuous improvement initiatives that keep us at the forefront of flavour innovation.

This role ensures the consistent quality, compliance, and integrity of our flavour products through analytical, sensory, and quality control checks.
You’ll play a key role in maintaining standards, supporting regulatory compliance, and driving continuous improvement initiatives that keep us at the forefront of flavour innovation.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct analytical, sensory (taste and olfactory), and visual quality checks on flavour products.
- Approve or reject products based on evaluation results and record findings in our systems.
- Maintain and update analysis methods, specifications, and work instructions.
- Investigate non-conformities, deviations, and equipment issues, contributing to corrective actions.
- Perform daily calibrations and routine equipment maintenance.
- Ensure all processes adhere to procedures, safety practices, and regulatory requirements.
- Contribute ideas for continuous improvement to ensure products are dispatched right first time.
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders and support smooth departmental operations.
To succeed in this role, you will bring:
- A degree in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Food Science, Pharmacy, or a related discipline.
- 5+ years’ experience as a Flavourist, with strong exposure to sweet and Southeast Asian flavours.
- Proven expertise in sensory evaluation (taste and olfactory).
- Strong technical knowledge of food chemistry and flavour creation.
- Experience with physicochemical analyses such as density, refractive index, and GC.
- Excellent attention to detail, organisational skills, and the ability to prioritise effectively.
- Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills with a collaborative mindset.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain findings clearly.
- Commitment to safety (OH&S principles) and safe handling of chemical substances.
- A proactive, positive, and flexible attitude, with a passion for food science and continuous learning.
- A valid driver’s licence.
