The company is seeking a talented Quality Control Analyst to join its dynamic Flavours team, dedicated to ensuring every product meets the highest standards of quality, compliance, and sensory excellence.
In this pivotal role, the Quality Control Analyst will safeguard the integrity of the flavour portfolio through rigorous analytical and sensory evaluations, support regulatory compliance, and drive continuous improvement across all processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive analytical, sensory (taste and olfactory), and visual assessments of flavour products.
- Evaluate and approve batches in accordance with specifications, ensuring accurate documentation in internal systems.
- Review and maintain testing methods, product specifications, and standard operating procedures.
- Investigate and report non-conformances, deviations, and equipment malfunctions, supporting the development of corrective actions.
- Perform routine calibrations and ensure laboratory equipment is maintained to required standards.
- Adhere to all quality, safety, and regulatory protocols in daily operations.
- Identify and implement process improvements to achieve consistent “right first time” results.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support efficient workflows and enhance customer satisfaction.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate a blend of technical expertise, sensory insight, and a commitment to quality. They will possess:
- A tertiary qualification in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Food Science, Pharmacy, or a related discipline.
- Experience within the flavour industry, preferably with exposure to sweet and Southeast Asian flavour profiles.
- Proven proficiency in sensory evaluation, with a refined palate for taste and aroma differentiation.
- A strong foundation in food chemistry and flavour formulation principles.
- Experience conducting physicochemical analyses such as density, refractive index, and GC testing.
- Excellent attention to detail, organisational abilities, and prioritisation skills.
- A collaborative, solutions-focused approach to problem-solving.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to present technical findings clearly and effectively.
- A demonstrated commitment to workplace safety and the proper handling of chemical materials.
- A proactive, inquisitive mindset with a genuine passion for food science and innovation.
