An autonomous role where you decide how you want to manage your own pipeline, generate leads and target new clients, alongside access to a large existing client base.
Base Criteria
- Blend of operational and business development skillset - Mix of operational background with Sales/BD in FM environment advantageous!
- Experience working in a Business Development capacity within the Facility Management industry.
- Maintenance, building and carpentry or trades background would be advantageous, with some consideration for health and safety
- Customer facing role managing internal and external relationships
- Encourage cross-selling across division to existing clients and explore new channels
- Experience managing a P+L and demonstrable productivity
- Be an open and transparent solutions leader
- Strong networking and influencing skills
- Experience within sectors such as Corporate, Retail, Technical, Healthcare, Utilities, Education, Defence etc in an FM capacity
- Must have NZ work rights
Duties
- Manage team of 5-10 people in operational roles
- Look after a range of technical maintenance and open space contracts
- Driving new business development activities, sourcing business leads, developing client relationships, securing EOI and RFP/ITT with key target organisations
- Selling service solutions including planned, preventative and reactive maintenance activities, MEP, grounds and specialist subcontracted services
- Driving bid proposals ensuring that best practice solutions can be implemented
- Foster growth and stability through introduction of efficient policies, processes and compliance
- Manage contract transitions
- Strategic planning and forecasting
- Be responsive to changing needs of customers and contracts
- Stakeholder engagement and strong relationship management e.g. understanding wants, needs and commercial restrictions along with clarity around delivery expectations
