Job description
A well-established retirement living and care provider is seeking an experienced Residential Care Leader for a 5-month interim contract to oversee Care Apartments and Care Hubs within an integrated retirement community.
This confidential appointment is suited to a senior operator who can step into a 24/7 care environment, provide strong governance oversight and ensure stable, compliant service delivery during a defined transition period.
The Role

The Role
Reporting to the National Care Lead, you will assume end-to-end responsibility for residential care operations, including:
- Oversight of 24/7 residential care delivery
- Budget management, cost control and resource optimisation
- Rostering oversight and workforce capability management
- Embedding clinical governance and quality frameworks
- Managing SIRS, risk and regulatory compliance
- Strengthening audit readiness and reporting disciplines
- Overseeing care assessments and care planning standards
- Supporting implementation of strengthened aged care standards
- Driving continuous quality improvement initiatives
- Partnering with village leadership and key stakeholders
About You
You are an experienced aged care leader who can quickly assess operational risk, stabilise teams and drive performance within a defined contract period.
You will bring:
- Registered Nurse qualification (AHPRA preferred)
- 7+ years' post-graduate experience in aged or residential care
- Demonstrated leadership within a 24/7 care environment
- Strong knowledge of aged care legislation, SIRS and quality standards
- Sound budgeting and financial management capability
- Proven ability to lead teams through periods of change
- Confident stakeholder engagement skills
