Business Development Manager / Account Manager 

Are you an experienced sales professional with a knack for building strong customer relationships and a passion for high-quality wall paneling, floorings, and benchtops made of quartz and stone? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you! We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Manager / Account Manager to join our team in Perth, Western Australia.

About the role:

The Business Development Manager / Account Manager will play a pivotal role in setting sales quotas, evaluating and optimizing performance, and implementing effective processes to drive revenue growth. This position is key to representing our company's comprehensive product offerings and expanding our customer base in the Perth territory.

Responsibilities and Duties:
  • Build and nurture customer relationships within your assigned territory.
  • Identify selling opportunities by visiting and contacting potential clients.
  • Assess customer needs by visiting sites and gathering information.
  • Provide product knowledge and training to store personnel to enhance their ability to present products and negotiate effectively.
  • Prepare proposals, quotes, contracts, and orders for potential customers.
  • Review sales reports to identify opportunities with current and potential customers.
  • Utilize marketing tools to broaden your reach in the territory.
  • Investigate and resolve customer claims and problems with deliveries, returns, and credits.
  • Attend trade shows as required.
  • Travel locally (50%), occasionally nationally, and/or internationally.
  • Prepare and maintain monthly sales reports.
Qualifications:
  • Previous experience in a business development or sales role, preferably in the natural stone, marble, quartz, building and construction, or design industry.
  • Proven track record of success throughout the sales cycle, from planning to closing deals.
  • Willingness to travel locally and interstate as required.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and reporting skills.
  • Ability to work independently and without direct supervision.
  • High level of integrity.
  • Self-driven, ambitious, and results-oriented.
  • Quick learner with strong negotiating skills.
  • A team player who understands the balance between internal and external relationships.
