About the role:
  
I am recruiting an experienced Sales Manager to lead and grow a high performing sales function within the residential and transportable housing sector.
  
This role is responsible for driving revenue growth developing a proactive customer focused sales team and strengthening market position through strategic planning and execution. You will work closely with senior leadership and have genuine influence across sales strategy team performance and customer experience.

Key responsibilities
  • Lead manage and develop the sales team through regular performance reviews coaching and mentoring
  • Ensure all direct reports have clear role clarity development plans and achievable performance targets
  • Act as a visible role model by demonstrating strong leadership behaviours and values
  • Manage team capability and succession planning to support business growth
  • Oversee leave planning and ensure all position descriptions are current and accurate
  • Research and analyse the market to identify growth opportunities and changes in buyer behaviour
  • Develop and execute a sales plan that delivers agreed revenue margin and growth targets
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key strategic accounts to influence projects early at design stage
  • Drive new business opportunities through referrals networking and targeted initiatives
  • Increase sales across the existing customer base through proactive relationship management
  • Work closely with internal teams to ensure sales targets are supported operationally
  • Plan manage and attend trade shows and industry events aligned to the sales plan
  • Maintain promotional materials and brand presence
  • Provide a high level of customer service with same day response to enquiries
  • Ensure initial estimates are consistently delivered within 24 hours
  • Review sales performance regularly and adjust focus to maximise outcomes
  • Conduct monthly performance reviews and formal quarterly sales plan reviews with senior leadership
  • Capture customer feedback and market insights to drive continuous improvement
  • Ensure customer surveys are completed within one month of each home handover
About you:
  • Proven experience leading sales teams within construction transportable homes or a related residential sector
  • Tertiary qualification in business commerce or a relevant discipline
  • High energy and drive with a clear confident communication style
  • Strong negotiation capability supported by commercial judgement
  • Proven success in a fast paced growth environment
  • Solid working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Current Victorian Drivers Licence
