SAP Maintenance Planner – Food Manufacturing (Melbourne Based)

A leading food manufacturer is seeking an experienced SAP Maintenance Planner to oversee and drive planning excellence across multiple high-performing manufacturing facilities. Based in Melbourne, this role offers state travel across sites and performance-based incentives.
About the Role
You’ll be the central point of contact for SAP-based maintenance planning across multiple fast-paced operations. Collaborating with site engineering teams, you will lead preventative maintenance planning, scheduling, system improvements, and shutdown coordination to enhance plant reliability, efficiency, and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee maintenance planning and scheduling across multiple manufacturing sites using SAP PM
  • Lead weekly planning meetings, drive PM standardisation, and improve forecasting accuracy
  • Coordinate major shutdowns and lead divisional planning improvement projects
  • Collaborate with master data teams, engineering, and national SAP stakeholders
  • Provide coaching and direction to site planners to improve scheduled work compliance
  • Analyse downtime data and optimise planning practices for greater reliability outcomes
What You’ll Bring
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a senior maintenance planning role within manufacturing or similar
  • Strong SAP PM system knowledge with change management experience
  • Background in mechanical or electrical disciplines (trade or degree)
  • High attention to detail, excellent communication, and strong leadership qualities
  • Ability to travel across sites in VIC, SA, NSW, and TAS (Melbourne home base)
