The Company:
Our client is nationally recognised, highly established Civil Landscape and Civil Construction company and due to continued growth are looking to hire an experienced Senior Ecologist / Team Leader to join their busy team in Sydney working on 2 key projects for the business as a starting point.
This role will evolve into growing the team to a team of 5 and also then managing the team moving forward in-house.
The Role:
A rare opportunity has now become available for an experienced Senior Ecologist to join a highly respected and established company working on Civil Landscape construction projects valued between $1 Million and $40 Million.
Key purpose of the role is to come onboard as a Senior in-house ecologist and grow an in-house team to approx 5 people moving forward.

Key Responsibilities of the Role:
- Providing technical ecological advice and report deliverables on a range of projects, primarily in Sydney.
- Supporting the senior management with Ecological team development within the business as the company is now bringing this role in-house rather than sub-contracting the work to external parties.
- Involvement in business development and work proposals.
- Proactively managing projects or components of projects, quality assurance and development of client relationships.
- You are an experienced Ecologist with a passion for Australia's ecosystems and a desire to contribute to a multi-disciplinary civil landscaping construction company.
- Tertiary qualifications in Ecology, Zoology, Botany or other relevant degree.
- Extensive relevant post-graduate experience, including supervising aspects of projects, applying standards and managing resources.
- Experience leading, mentoring and developing ecologists and providing technical support.
- Strong client focus and a knack for building and maintaining credible working relationships.
- NSW BAM Accreditation / desire to be accredited will be highly regarded.
