I am partnering with a specialised engineering company who provides tailored Electrical, Control & Process services to the mining industry. We are currently seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer with relevant experience in the design, fabrication and commissioning of mining-based equipment.
 
This role requires the Engineer to be very close to all stages of the project/product through its manufacturing life-cycle to completion, across multiple projects. The right Engineer for the job would be someone who has a proven track record in Australia with OEM's or another mining service provider specifically.
 
As the Electrical Engineer you will be required to do the following:

• Manage and build our electrical design capabilities.
• Work on jobs from quote to commissioning including fabrication.
• Work on projects across multiple fields including process plant and water supply infrastructure.
• Work with other electrical, control and mechanical engineers to deliver projects.
• Complete design and commissioning of mining based electrical systems including control panels, pump skids, headworks and generator systems.
• When required travel to remote sites and undertake quoting, supervision and commissioning works.
• Design systems to client requirements including brownfield upgrades.

A little bit about you:

• Degree qualification in Electrical Engineering.
• Ideally certified by Engineers Australia.
• High Level experience of Design & Drafting using AutoCAD / Inventor.
• A strong commitment to a safe working environment.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a mining environment.
• Have an understanding of the PLC software and basic use for commissioning.
• Experience with complex brownfield projects, specifically PLC upgrades.
