The role we are recruiting is a Senior Power System Engineer to play a leading role in the delivery of high-profile energy projects across Australia. This is a senior technical position that requires strong hands-on modelling capabilities, regulatory knowledge, and project leadership.
The Role
- Conduct and deliver high-quality power system studies for utility-scale renewable projects, collaborating closely clients, utilities, consultants, and operators (e.g., AEMO, TNSPs, NSPs).
- Lead and manage the grid interconnection process for renewable projects from development to execution.
- Engage with stakeholders to ensure projects align with Australian Grid Codes (NER) and Generator Performance Standards (GPS).
- Provide technical leadership across the full project lifecycle, including feasibility, modelling, and commissioning.
- Prepare and review grid performance reports and compliance documentation.

- Tertiary qualifications in Electrical Engineering or equivalent (PhD in Power Systems desirable).
- 5+ years of relevant power system experience.
- Strong proficiency in DIgSILENT PowerFactory and PSCAD.
- Familiarity with Python scripting for modelling automation and analysis.
- Proven experience managing interactions with AEMO, TNSPs, or NSPs for connection studies or regulatory submissions.
