The Company:

An award winning and highly established volume home building company, due to continued growth are looking to hire an experienced Senior AutoCAD production draftsperson to join their growing drafting team and become the reliable 2IC to the Drafting Manager. Housing construction projects consist of a vast range of designs across single and double-storey homes.

Key Responsibilities of the Role:
  • Reporting to the Drafting Manager
  • The role will consist of 50% checking/markups and 50% drawing
  • Managing and assisting with workflows
  • Being the 2IC for the team and someone the drafting manager can rely on
  • Mentoring and coaching of less experienced drafters in the team
  • Produce accurate working drawings for volume housing projects
  • Ensure all work is completed within set time frames
  • Ensuring conformance with necessary guidelines and Council requirements
  • Highly levels of accuracy
  • Ability to work with a highly supportive and collaborative team environment
  • Problem-solving
Role Requirements:
  • MUST HAVE a minimum of 4-5 years experience as a drafter with a volume home building company. 
  • Advanced level drafting experience using AutoCAD
  • Strong time management and organisational skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and verbal/written communication skills
  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment
  • Proven track record within the volume home building industry
  • Strong team player
  • Able to meet deadlines
