Outline Duties
Senior Architect
- Support and manage the Projects Team in their effective delivery of minor works or refurbishment projects as well as Capex projects across a diverse property portfolio, providing key leadership and direction to staff and contractors.
- Ultimately responsible for ensuring the safe, efficient and effective delivery of multiple concurrent building upgrades, capital investment works, and minor projects in accordance with the Building Code of Australia, Statutory Compliance and Industry Best Practice.
Architect
- Working on various projects from concept design to completion; providing a creative and innovative design approach, with attention to detail and exceptional presentation skills
- Extensive past experience coordinating consultant teams, liaising with local authority internal stakeholders and other key stakeholders
- Excellent communication and technical documentation skills
- ArchiCAD proficiency.
Skills and Attributes
Senior Architect
- 10 years’ industry experience, and have gained at least 8 years Project Management experience within an organisation delivering Minor and Capital Works to a mix of multi-site premises.
- You will have excellent Project Management skills, able to lead project and scope of works briefings with the internal team, Consultants or Contractors, set and agree project timescales and costings.
- You will be able to read and interpret Architectural Drawings and advise on any modifications required.
- Technically capable, responsible for leading relationships with Project Managers overseeing contractors undertaking project works – negotiating and justifying any variations, ensuring delivery to project timeframes and advising Board-level stakeholders of potential delays.
- You will hold the senior Licensed Architect role for the company
Architect
- 2-3 years’ experience post-registration in commercial/ leisure / education or government / public sector projects;
- Expert-level of proficiency in Revit and with the ability to manage and co-ordinate multiple project team 3D models
- Thorough understanding of Australian Standards and the BCA;
- Proven ability to progress projects from initial concept stages to documentation, consultant coordination and management of project team and contract administration;
- Strong organisational skills required across developing programmes for projects, managing consultants, running meetings and taking minutes
