Site Manager – Structural Steel
Brisbane / QLD | $140,000–$150,000 + Super
Lead Complex Steel Projects for a High-Performing Construction Specialist
An opportunity is available for an experienced Site Manager to join a well-
established steel construction business delivering major industrial and commercial projects across Queensland.
This organisation is recognised for its disciplined approach to safety, quality delivery, and operational excellence. The Opportunity
Reporting into senior project leadership, you will assume full responsibility for site execution across structural steel projects, overseeing all aspects of safety, programme, subcontractor performance, and quality.
You will operate as the senior on-site authority — coordinating trades, managing interfaces with engineering and project teams, and ensuring works are delivered in line with contractual and technical requirements.
This is a visible leadership role within the business, offering scope to influence outcomes and contribute to continuous improvement.
Key Accountabilities
End-to-end management of day-to-day site operations
Leadership of subcontractors to achieve safety, quality, and productivity
targets
Implementation of WHS systems and promotion of a strong safety culture
Programme management, inspections, reporting, and risk mitigation
Liaison with project managers, engineers, and clients to maintain alignment
Oversight of workmanship and compliance with drawings and specifications
Delivery of toolbox talks and proactive site engagement
About You
You are a confident, commercially aware Site Manager with a track record of
delivering construction or installation projects to a high standard. You lead from the front, communicate clearly, and bring structure to complex environments.
You will demonstrate:
Proven site leadership experience within construction (structural steel highly
regarded)
Strong knowledge of WHS legislation and site compliance
Ability to interpret technical drawings and manage sequencing effectively
Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
A solutions-oriented mindset with strong attention to detail
