With strong leadership support and a steady pipeline of work, this role offers autonomy, stability, and the chance to run well-structured projects from site establishment through to handover.

Our client is a respected Brisbane fitout & refurbishment specialist known for delivering fast-paced, detail-driven projects with a strong emphasis on safety, communication and exceptional client service. They manage projects across multiple sectors and are recognised for their consistency, reliability and high workmanship standards.

As Site Manager, you’ll be the face of the project on the ground, leading subcontractors, maintaining safety standards, driving progress and ensuring a high-quality finish every time.

Average contract value of each project ranges from $500k-$6m.

The Role:
  
You will take operational responsibility for managing daily onsite construction activities across fitout and refurbishment projects, ensuring safety, program, quality and client expectations are met.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and coordinate daily onsite activities across fitout/refurb projects
  • Manage subcontractors, ensuring safety, quality and program targets are achieved
  • Maintain site safety, environmental compliance and emergency response plans
  • Review construction drawings, scope, program schedules and specifications to anticipate issues
  • Oversee site establishment, access, security, signage, amenities and waste facilities
  • Conduct site inductions, SWMS reviews, and ongoing toolbox talks
  • Prepare WHS risk assessments, environmental impact assessments & project management plans
  • Maintain daily site diary, reporting, inspections and ITP documentation
  • Compile dilapidation reports and manage site conditions before commencement
  • Manage client expectations and communication onsite
  • Oversee defects rectification, project handover and close-out documentation
  • Support junior team members and contribute to a positive site culture  
About You:
  • Proven Site Manager experience in fitout or refurbishment (mandatory)
  • Strong subcontractor coordination and leadership skills
  • Excellent understanding of site safety, WHS documentation and compliance requirements
  • Ability to run fast-paced projects with tight programs
  • Confident in reading drawings, specs and managing site logistics
  • Professional, well-presented and strong with client communication
  • First Aid, White Card and relevant site tickets are highly regarded
