Due to recent growth, our client is seeking a Site Manager for an immediate start on the Central Coast of NSW
Key Responsibilities of the Role:
- Ensure that work is carried out in accordance with the Management System and other relevant specifications
- Maintain the daily site diary recording site progress, staff, trade activities and visitor attendance
- Refer all requests for design changes to the Project Manager or his nominee and obtain the necessary approvals prior to carrying out the work.
- Purchase materials and equipment for site use as requested by the Project Manager.
- Discuss all site needs for plant and equipment with the Project Manager prior to order placement.
- Ensure that plant and equipment is maintained in a safe condition and is regularly serviced.
- Ensure that work is carried out in accordance with current codes, legislation and standards
- Ensure that the Site Safety Plan is implemented on the project.
- Assist the Project Manager and Systems Manager in developing the Project Management Plan for the project and ensuring all site-specific issues on that site are managed to achieve Safe Working Practice
- Ensure that each person working on site is registered in the site register and carry out a site-specific induction for each person working on site.
- Prepare environmental documentation as required to control and record environmental processes
- Review and report on the environmental performance of the project
- Supervision and leadership of Leading Hands and Tradesmen as reflected in the Project Organization Chart
- minimum 5+ years experience as a Site Manager on similar projects
- Strong and proven track record working on design & construction projects.
- Strong negotiation skills
- Proven experience in effectively managing, leading and mentoring staff.
- Advanced Planning and organizational skills
- A current Australian Driver’s license.
- General Construction Induction Course / White Card
- Current First Aid Certificate (including CPR)
