The Company:

The client is a NSW based business that is looking for a service technician, they specialize in wet and dry fire protection. The business has a strong market presence and a reputable name in the market which they hold in high regard. 

The Opportunity:

Sprinkler fitter reporting to the Service Manager.

This role is ideal for someone with a strong technical background in wet fire/ sprinkler systems who is looking for a complex and challenging customer facing role in which to further develop their system skills, mentor and be the technical lead. This opportunity supports projects for a wide variety of customers within Australia. Mostly focusing on clients in NSW. 
You will be working on a multimillion-dollar portfolio of projects.

As a Sprinkler fitter responsibilities include:
  • Carry out testing of all fire systems in accordance with AS1851-2012 – this will include monthly, 6 monthly and annual testing
  • Completing Maintenance, inspection, testing, repairs, and installation to sprinkler systems;
  • Liaise with your work coordinator and team leader to ensure work is completed in a timely manner
  • Expand your skills through internal and external training opportunities
  • Work in a positive and supportive team environment to ensure client's needs are met
  • Attend fortnightly tool box talks and regular training sessions
  • Liaise with your work co-ordinator and team leader to ensure work is completed in a timely manner

About you:
To be successful in this role, you will be passionate about your work, deliver results and have excellent personal accountability and commitment.
Additionally, you will have experience in:
  • 5 years’ experience with sprinkler systems
  • Experience Fire pump set and water supply systems
  • Have experienced in Testing Fire Sprinkler Systems on Commercial, Retail & industrial Buildings in compliance with the Australian -Standards AS2118.1 & AS1851-2012:
  • Hold a current fire sprinkler license applicable to work in NSW. 
  • Hold a valid Construction industry White Card
  • Be a team player with strong communication skills 
  • Hold a NSW current drivers licence
  • Deluge, pre-action and wall wetting systems
  • Gaseous suppression systems
  • Familiarity and confidence of Fire Panels
  • Sound knowledge of the standards for the above
