Our client is a respected steel fabrication business specialising in residential projects. With a healthy pipeline of work and a strong reputation for quality, they are seeking a Steel Detailer to join their team.
This role is open to junior, intermediate, and senior-level detailers, offering clear pathways for growth and development. You’ll be working on a variety of residential builds, translating architectural and engineering designs into accurate fabrication drawings that enable successful project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and review shop drawings, fabrication drawings, and material lists
• Interpret architectural and structural plans into practical detailing solutions
• Liaise with engineers, builders, and workshop teams to resolve design queries
• Ensure drawings meet Australian Standards, codes, and client specifications
• Contribute to project schedules and meet required deadlines

Skills & Experience

• Proficiency in detailing software (AutoCAD, Tekla, Advance Steel, or similar)
• Strong eye for detail and technical accuracy
• Ability to read and interpret engineering and architectural drawings
• Excellent communication skills and collaborative approach
• Previous experience in steel detailing (residential or structural) highly regarded
