About the role
- As a Strategic Marketing Lead, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the business’s commercial and marketing direction.
- You’ll be responsible for leading the development and execution of marketing strategies that enhance brand awareness, align with market trends, and improve the company’s product offering.
- This is a high-impact role that spans strategic planning, commercial analysis, new market development, and marketing leadership.
- You will work across all business units in Australia and New Zealand and manage one direct report to deliver marketing programs and tools that support commercial growth and innovation.
- Develop and implement marketing strategy aligned with commercial goals and emerging market trends
- Evaluate markets and customers, identifying new product opportunities and supporting long-range planning
- Support commercialisation of new products and projects in close collaboration with SBU leadership
- Lead brand development efforts, including brand refresh initiatives, website updates, and digital strategy
- Manage marketing campaigns, collateral, events, and communication to build brand awareness
- Foster market intimacy, providing competitive insights and quarterly trends reporting
- Coordinate new product development, collaborating with internal teams on research and IP initiatives
- Maintain and monitor the commercial pipeline, including CRM health and conversion rates
- Own and manage the marketing budget, working closely with senior leadership and suppliers
- Science-related degree or background strongly preferred
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a B2B marketing, product management, or technical sales role
- Strategic thinker with hands-on experience in marketing execution and campaign management
- Understanding of commercialisation, market evaluation, and new product development
- Confident communicator who enjoys stakeholder engagement, networking, and cross-functional collaboration
- Experience in the chemical, specialty ingredients, or industrial distribution sector highly regarded
