Our client, a leading technology systems integrator with a national footprint, is seeking an experienced Systems Technician to join their high-performing operations team. This role offers a hands-on opportunity to work across complex environments: transport, government, commercial, and remote—delivering cutting-edge communications, AV, and control systems that keep Australia connected.

About the Role
As a Systems Technician, you’ll take ownership of the installation, commissioning, maintenance, and servicing of a diverse range of technologies—spanning public address, audio visual, emergency warning, hearing augmentation, IT. 

You’ll collaborate with engineers, project managers, and clients to deliver reliable and compliant systems, ensuring projects are completed to the highest technical and safety standards.

This position reports directly to the Operations Manager and would suit a self-driven technician who thrives in varied environments and takes pride in quality workmanship.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, commission, maintain, and troubleshoot AV and communication systems and infrastructure.
• Collaborate effectively with both internal teams and external stakeholders.
• Provide on-site technical support and client training when required.
• Interpret and work from technical drawings, schematics, and documentation.
• Maintain accurate service records and documentation to company standards.
• Ensure compliance with safety policies, site procedures, and work practices.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and vehicle to ensure readiness for field work.
• Work flexible hours, including occasional nights, weekends, or on-call duties.

Skills & Experience

• Certificate III or IV in Electronics, Communications, or equivalent trade qualification.
• Proven hands-on experience in PA, AV, or systems installation and servicing.
• Strong understanding of signal flow (audio, video, control) and network fundamentals.
• Familiarity with leading PA/AV systems such as Bosch, QSC, or similar platforms.
• Competent in reading and interpreting technical drawings and schematics.
• Excellent fault-finding and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.
• Strong interpersonal communication and customer-facing abilities.
• Positive, proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and adapt to emerging technologies.
• Current Driver’s Licence essential; White Card and EWP ticket preferred.
