We are seeking a skilled Systems Technician to join a high-performing operations team in BRISBANE delivering critical communications and electromechanical systems across transport, government, commercial, and remote environments.

This is a dynamic role for someone who enjoys problem-solving, working with technology, and contributing to systems that keep communities connected and informed.

What You'll Be Doing
As a key member of the operations team, you will be responsible for:
  • Installation, commissioning, servicing and maintenance of communications and electromechanical systems
  • Working with public address (PA), audio visual, emergency warning, hearing augmentation (AFILs), IT and radio systems
  • Troubleshooting complex technical issues across field-based environments
  • Interpreting schematics, technical drawings, and documentation
  • Providing technical support and training when required
  • Ensuring all documentation and records are completed accurately and professionally
  • Maintaining compliance with safety standards, policies and procedures
  • Protecting tools and equipment to ensure reliability and serviceability
  • Working flexible hours, including night shifts, weekends and on-call as required
What We're Looking For

We're seeking someone who brings both technical capability and the right attitude.

Essential:
  • Certificate III or IV in Electronics, Communications, or equivalent trade qualification
  • Proven experience in PA systems installation and servicing
  • Strong understanding of signal flow (audio, video and control), networking fundamentals and structured cabling best practices
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics and technical documentation
  • Experience with PA equipment brands such as Bosch, QSC or similar
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities
  • Valid driver's license
  • A proactive, "can-do" mindset and willingness to learn new technologies

  • EWP (Elevated Work Platform) certification
