We are seeking a skilled Systems Technician to join a high-performing operations team in BRISBANE delivering critical communications and electromechanical systems across transport, government, commercial, and remote environments.
This is a dynamic role for someone who enjoys problem-solving, working with technology, and contributing to systems that keep communities connected and informed.
What You'll Be Doing
As a key member of the operations team, you will be responsible for:
- Installation, commissioning, servicing and maintenance of communications and electromechanical systems
- Working with public address (PA), audio visual, emergency warning, hearing augmentation (AFILs), IT and radio systems
- Troubleshooting complex technical issues across field-based environments
- Interpreting schematics, technical drawings, and documentation
- Providing technical support and training when required
- Ensuring all documentation and records are completed accurately and professionally
- Maintaining compliance with safety standards, policies and procedures
- Protecting tools and equipment to ensure reliability and serviceability
- Working flexible hours, including night shifts, weekends and on-call as required
We're seeking someone who brings both technical capability and the right attitude.
Essential:
- Certificate III or IV in Electronics, Communications, or equivalent trade qualification
- Proven experience in PA systems installation and servicing
- Strong understanding of signal flow (audio, video and control), networking fundamentals and structured cabling best practices
- Ability to read and interpret schematics and technical documentation
- Experience with PA equipment brands such as Bosch, QSC or similar
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities
- Valid driver's license
- A proactive, "can-do" mindset and willingness to learn new technologies
- White Card (Construction Induction)
- EWP (Elevated Work Platform) certification
- Work on meaningful infrastructure projects across diverse sectors
- Exposure to advanced communications and integrated technology systems
