The Company:

My client is one of the world’s premier manufacturers of mechanical equipment and components used in mine sites all over the Hunter region. Their company has a high reputation in the market place for product quality and service. They are seeking a Technical Account Manager to join their team in Newcastle/Hunter region.  

The role:
  • Reporting to the Regional Business Development Manager – you will drive sales of their superior product range into:
    • Mining
    • Distributor networks
  • Prospect, qualify, close and applications mainly in the mining sector.
  • Analyse market conditions and develop business plans to coordinate sales calls and close sales orders.
  • On site visits to assist the engineering team in providing the best solution and outcome for the customer.
  • Identify customer needs, propose solutions and close orders to achieve existing customer KPI’s and New business KPI’s.
The Candidate:
  • Must have at least 2+ years in a sales role, selling any type of industrial mechanical product solution, such as:
    • Bearings and Power Transmission
    • Pumps or Pumping equipment
    • Mechanical gear boxes and motors
    • Or any mechanical components such as pulleys, bearings, seals or belting
  • Ideally have a sound knowledge of the mining sector in the hunter region
  • Must be reliable and good operator
  • Strong planning and executing skills
  • Seeking candidates with a dynamic flair in sales, with effective communication skills for negotiation.
  • Candidate with a Mechanical trade or qualification well regarded, but not essential.
  • Must be a team player
