Job description
Technically qualified Facilities Manager / Hospital Engineer with a strong Building Services plant and equipment background, along with strong Asset Management knowledge (Annual Planned, Medium-Term and Lifecycle Replacement).
You will hold a holistic view of Electrical (HV / LV), Mechanical, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning, GenSets, UPS, Autoclaves and general building services plant and equipment including strong experience in Asset Management – forward planning and whole-of-life.

Base Criteria
Technically qualified with a strong understanding of Facilities Engineering within a hospital or similar critical site from functional day-to-day maintenance to asset whole-of-life.
Exposure to HV Power Supply systems, Commercial / Industrial Refrigeration and Air Conditioning, Hydraulics, Vertical Transport, GenSets, UPS, Autoclaves and BMS.
Minimum of 8 years’ experience gained across a large healthcare or similar critical site: - University Research or Research Labs.
Outline Duties
You will be the technical subject matter expert responsible for overseeing the maintenance team ensuring plant and equipment maintenance, reliability and uptime.
Responsible for operating the CMMS, ensuring Work Orders are completed / signed off.
You will set and manage budgets and expenses for the department.
Weekly and Monthly reporting across maintenance issues, reliability, as well as environmental and OHS reports for your team.

Skills and Attributes
- Technical Qualification, with broad Technical knowledge across the whole spectrum of building services plant & equipment.
- 5+ years experience as a Facilities Engineer, Shift Engineer or Deputy Engineer within a Hospital or Clinical Environment.
- Delivering Facilities solutions that include planned, preventative and reactive maintenance activities for building fabric, MEP, specialist services & systems and sterilisation equipment.
- Provide daily / weekly reports (as required) covering service delivery, attendance, On-Calls and KPI reporting.
- Responsible for ensuring the Facilities Maintenance Services Contracts are delivered in a safe and professional manner within HSEQ policies.
- Prior experience in managing site’s piped medical gases, autoclaves, incinerators and filtration systems is preferred.
