Our client is a privately-owned, multi-disciplinary industrial services company who have been in the Australian market for almost 40 years.
They specialise in industrial automation and system integration, mechanical & electrical construction and instrumentation, with trusted partnerships servicing mining, manufacturing, water, energy and infrastructure, providing full lifecycle management, turnkey projects, process optimisation, maintenance and more. 
  
About the Role
We're on the lookout for a Technical Officer with strong industrial electrical experience to support the technical delivery of engineering projects. If you're passionate about electrical systems, controls & automation, and field system design – and thrive in project environments – this role is for you.
 
This position supports engineering projects from concept through to commissioning, ensuring that on-site needs are captured, and that designs are delivered accurately and efficiently.

Depending on your strengths, you will focus on one of the following:
  • System Integration, Automation & Controls
  • Electrical, Instrumentation & Field System Design
You will also:
  • Support design, specification, installation, and commissioning activities
  • Fault-find and resolve technical issues on-site
  • Coordinate documentation, compliance, and change management
  • Supervise subcontractors and liaise with customers
  • Maintain technical standards across multiple projects
About You
  • NSW Electrical Licence (essential)
  • 10+ years experience in industrial environments 
  • Strong skills in electrical design, instrumentation or system integration
  • Experience with PLC, SCADA, and/or DCS systems
  • Excellent problem-solving and documentation skills
  • EEHA / Hazardous area qualifications (desireable)
  • Ability to supervise minor scopes of work and installations
