The Senior / Technical Estimator will provide Subject Matter Expert support to the Business Development team. You will be experienced, with a successful track record in the planning and pricing / costing of tenders and quotations for Hard Facilities Management (HVAC / M&E Maintenance services) delivery on large single sites or national accounts.
You will have experience in analysing and assembling information (take-offs) from Client Brief / RFQ / RFT documentation, Site Walk-rounds & Surveys, through to developing comprehensive Costing Models to support overall Technical Pricing components of Integrated FM Tenders.
You will have strong negotiating skills and experience in obtaining costs / Schedule of Rates from Sub-contractors for specialist works, and carrying out post tender costings and negotiations are an absolute must.

You will be an experienced Senior / Technical Estimator with a solid understanding of small- and medium-scale Technical Facilities Management bids and tenders, with a particular focus on Hard FM / Building Services Planned & Reactive Maintenance, Minor and Capital Works and Life Cycle Planning.

Key Accountabilities:
- Prepare costings for tender submissions in consultation with the bid team and operational personnel
- Undertake cost analysis for facilities management (Building Services Plant & Equipment) and life cycle works
- Perform risk assessment, value management and cost control exercises
- Site visits as necessary to compile accurate tender proposals
- Assist in the preparation of costing and life cycle models based on project details, bills of quantities and actual condition findings
- Advise on maintenance, repair and refurbishment techniques to minimise future maintenance risks, contributing to the creation of method statements and other documentation to support bid submissions
- Evaluate the Technical components of contracts supplied by the client as part of the tender process and identify any potential areas of risk
- Contribute to post-submission clarification responses and tender presentations if required
- Create contract programmes if required, maintaining and updating these as projects proceed
- Assist the Bid / General Manager with all commercial and contractual queries
- Create and implement a project plan to deliver bid requirements on time, monitor and report on bid process against plan and budget
- Ensure the timely delivery of compliant and commercially sound bids
- Maintain a risks/issues/opportunities register and ensure these are shared at relevant meetings and reviews and successfully navigate bids through the internal governance process and obtain relevant approvals at each stage of the procurement

Pre-Requisites:
- Relevant trade or tertiary qualification in Engineering (Facilities, Building Services, HVAC or M&E)
- 8+ years relevant experience, with 4+ years as a Senior / Lead Technical Estimator
- Experience across Large Sites / Corporate Offices e.g., Financial Services, Data Centres, Hospitals, FMCG Manufacturing Plants, Universities / Colleges, Defence or Federal / State Government Portfolios.
- Super IT skills, Excel being key
- Valid, clean driver’s license
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
