Company
My client is a rapidly growing furniture business selling on-trend furniture. They have been established for a decade and now host stores in Melbourne, Brisbane and South Australia as well as their significant online business. Due to massive success and year on year growth, my client is now moving to a larger warehouse facility. They are seeking an experienced Warehouse Manager to relocate, set up and run their brand new warehouse. They continue to grow their shop front footprint and online business. It's an exciting time to be joining my client as they continue to expand exponentially.

Role
You will be managing a team of 10 and your initial task will be making sure the new warehouse is set up correctly. There will be a key focus on developing and implementing effective operating processes across the brand new warehouse. You will need to optimise the layout of the warehouse and be across all the space planning. You will ensure the site is operating in a safe and efficient manner. This is a unique and exciting opportunity which will allow you to make a massive difference within the company and set you up for future growth too. You will need to ensure accurate inventory management across the warehouse and business. This role will allow you to bring in your own ideas and best practices too. You will be working closely with the operations manager to ensure the business is running smoothly and efficiently. 

Skills & Experience
To be considered for this role you must have the following:  
  • Strong Warehouse Management experience, ideally more than 3+ years
  • Relevant OH&S certificates & Fork Lift License
  • Previous management experience
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Previous experience in completing administration
  • Experience in recruiting and training warehouse staff
  • Able to lead from the front and run a smooth operation
  • Able to develop KPIs for the operation and for individual team members
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced working environment
