Job description

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Warehouse Operations Manager to lead our clients busy warehouse team. Based in Rocklea, this company are known as a leading supplier in commercial furniture solutions.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in warehouse management, excellent leadership skills, and a keen eye for detail. This role is essential to the smooth operation of our client's warehouse, ensuring that inventory is managed efficiently and orders are fulfilled accurately.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee daily warehouse operations, ensuring efficient and accurate processing of incoming and outgoing shipments.
  • Manage and coordinate warehouse staff, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance evaluations.
  • Implement and maintain effective inventory management systems to ensure accurate stock levels.
  • Develop and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure safety, efficiency, and compliance with company policies.
  • Monitor and improve warehouse layout and organization to optimize space utilization and workflow.
  • Collaborate with the purchasing and logistics teams to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment.
  • Conduct regular audits and inspections to maintain high standards of cleanliness, organization, and safety.
  • Analyze warehouse performance metrics and implement strategies for continuous improvement.
  • Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues related to order fulfillment and delivery.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration, or a related field (preferred).
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in warehouse management, preferably in the furniture industry.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and develop staff.
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficient in warehouse management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in warehouse operations.
  • Ability to lift and move heavy items as needed.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
