Warehouse Supervisor

Job description

I am partnering with an original equipment manufacturer that operates on a global scale. The equipment is manufactured end-to-end from conceptualization through to market deployment, products are sold into the mining equipment, technology and services sector (METS).
 
As a result of continued growth, we are recruiting a Warehouse Supervisor who will be managing a small team of operational staff and all warehouse duties end-to-end. You will have the creative freedom to manage your own team and design the logistical layout accordingly.
  
Reporting directly to the Operations Manager, your day-to-day operations will play an integral role in the success of the company - as this role is a central hub for all the manufacturing divisions.
 
As the Warehouse Supervisor your duties will include but not be limited to: 
 
  • Hands on warehouse and inventory coordination– picking, packing, unloading, and organising of job packs
  • Managing the goods received and dispatch
  • Goods outstanding reporting and stock control of all inventories
  • Managing correspondence with vendors and suppliers
  • Monitoring slow moving stock and warehouse layout
  • General housekeeping to maintain productivity and to improve processes
  • Participating in cycle counting and annual stock-takes
  • Delegating tasks between the warehouse team and managing their day-to-day operations
 
A little bit about you: 
 
  • 2-3 years minimum in a similar role across warehousing, logistics or manufacturing management/supervisory role
  • Ideally understanding of hydraulic consumables and systems
  • Ideally experience with a fabrication or manufacturing company
  • MUST have Forklift license ideally Dogman and High Reach License too
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills
  • Experience with an ERP system
  • Competent inputting and collecting data
