You’ll lead the delivery and operation of water treatment projects across Sydney, Brisbane, Newcastle, and Canberra. The role is operational and site-focused, with responsibility for both plant performance and people leadership.
What will you do?
- Lead and manage a team of operational staff, providing mentoring and direction
- Build, commission, operate, and maintain water treatment plants, including chemical dosing systems
- Troubleshoot mechanical and process issues onsite
- Drive strong client engagement, change management, and team performance
- Support estimating and tendering activities alongside project delivery
- Work closely with environmental scientists to deliver compliant, high-performing solutions
- Proven hands-on experience with water or wastewater treatment plants (build, operate, fix)
- Background in mechanical, trade, civil, or water operations
- Experience leading site-based teams with a strong safety focus
- Strong client-facing and stakeholder engagement skills
- Commercial awareness to support project delivery and costs
- Sydney-based, with flexibility to travel as projects require
