Mid-week meditation

Meditation. It’s something you usually associate with a silent retreat in the middle of nowhere, spending hours on end finding your 'zen'. However, the latest trend is popping out of the office for 40 minutes to help re-focus your mind and detach from reality (even if you wish it was for a little longer!).

The last several years have seen increases in studies that highlight the almost daily benefits meditation poses for people around the world. Forbes reported, that meditation helps preserve the ageing of the brain, rivals anti-depressants in the relief of depression, reduces anxiety and can improve concentration and attention – to name just a few positive outcomes.

So, it seems only right that AustCorp, who are focused on the health and well-being of our staff, are getting involved.
Every tuesday we head on down to a meditation class, to expand our minds, clear our thoughts, and ultimately focus on ourselves. work isn’t everything you know?!

Ok, so we might struggle to fight the urge to nod off, but it's safe to say we walk out of centered meditation with a clearer head.

Huge multinational companies like Google provide meditation classes to their staff. So why shouldn’t we? To walk into the office with a clear mind can only bring positive long-term results both professionally and personally and ultimately help the team be on top of their game.

It’s easy to get bogged down with the stresses associated with the life of a recruiter.

Even our most skeptical consultants are appreciating the opportunity.

“I only joined Austcorp as a recruitment consultant 3 weeks ago. The fact these guys offered a meditation class was one of the factors that swayed me into accepting the position!“
