This is a Strategic role supporting senior managers leading State based teams undertaking a mix of Major Projects, Minor Works and Service / Maintenance within the Electrical and Communications sector.
The Western Division Manager will lead business-growth strategies, P&L and implement business risk mitigation strategies.
Base Criteria
You will ideally be qualified in an Electrical trade or Electrical Degree along with additional Management qualifications and 10+ years experience managing an Electrical Contracting Business, Building Services Maintenance Contractor, or Data / Comms Business across a multi-state region.
Outline Duties
Strategically drive and lead their General / Division Managers running multistate teams, ensuring ongoing delivery of market-leading Major Projects, Minor Works and Maintenance Services, providing strategic interface and direction to a large business, whilst driving Stakeholder Engagement, Contract Development, Cultural Change and Business Growth strategies.
Knowledge and experience in managing the delivery of large, diverse teams spread across a large geographic (multi-state) region delivering a mix of concurrent projects to Public and Private sector clients, such as: - Defence; Health; Education; Financial Services; Corporate Office; Resources as well as State and Federal Government.

Skills and Attributes
- Trade or Technical qualification in Electrical Engineering.
- Over 15 years industry experience, you will have gained at least 10+ years Senior Management experience within an organisation delivering Major Electrical Projects, Minor Works and Services to a mix of Corporate and Institutional clients across metropolitan and regional locations.
- Outstanding P&L skills, Strategic decision making, mentoring and business development skills.
- An excellent communicator, with strong English language skills, you will provide clear and concise instructions, management and strategic plans and undertake board-level client interface.
- An effective and engaging Internal and External Stakeholder relationship developer, ensuring you can win-over sceptics.
- Ability to comfortably lead a diverse workforce (frontline trades and managerial staff) across multiple States, gaining buy-in from staff for your cultural change management programme
- Encourage people development initiatives, commitment to safe working practices and enhancing client-executive relationships
