My client is a renowned global manufacturer. They seek multiple Automation Engineers with experience in Manufacturing Execution Systems Automation Design and support for their regulated large-scale process-based manufacturing facility in Melbourne. Engineers with both Project and Operational experience will be highly regarded. The roles are starting out at 12-month Fixed term Contract. Based in a Melbourne CBD location.
The Role:
- Lead the project delivery aspects related to Execution Systems for the new facility
- Prepare maintenance and life cycle support for the MES/PCS and PLC systems
- Deliver & implement required process control with in the DCS, PCS, MES & PLC systems
- Responsible for related project deliverables including oversight and review of contractors/integrators work during design, construction, commissioning, and validation phases of CAPEX projects and OPEX programs and changes
- Ongoing improvements, upgrades and support for Systems including Siemens PCS7
- 5 years’ experience in a Control Systems role ideally with in a Batch Manufacturing environment and ideally with Siemens PCS7 system experience.
- A solid understanding of process automation, MES, and Batch Manufacturing standards (ISA S88 & (95)
- Experience in Projects, coupled with operations is highly desirable
- Experience designing, deploying and supporting automation and execution systems in a regulated large-scale process-based manufacturing environment
- Have demonstrated capability for technical leading of complex DCS/PCS /Automation projects with integrated MES systems initial development through validation of the facility
