AustCorp has been retained to secure a strong, skilled and stakeholder-orientated Facilities Manager with experience working within the Justice sector, to support and lead supervisors and trade teams undertaking Planned and Reactive Maintenance, Minor Works and Cleaning across a large site and outlying buildings.
You will ideally hold formal qualifications in Electrical, Mechanical or HVAC Engineering and ideally also be tertiary qualified in Management. Your experience will include 5+ years Facilities Management experience (at least 2 years within a Correctional Facility), managing technical service delivery within a large or diverse multi-site environment.

Performing a leadership role, mentoring supervisors, and leading a team of technical trades staff.
Manage the delivery of a range of planned / reactive maintenance and minor works with a strong focus on outcomes and relationships.
Directly lead supervisors and trades (including contractors) undertaking work across a large site.

Skills and Attributes
- Australian Citizen, able to secure National Police Clearance, and looking for a Residential role (Single, Couple or Family status), based on a Tropical Island.
- Facilities Engineering, Building Services, Marine Engineering or Data Centre Engineering Management experience overseeing delivery across a large site / portfolio.
- At least 2 years’ prior experience working within the Justice sector on a correctional facility.
- 5+ years’ experience in managing a team of trades staff providing clear direction and timescales to ensure they meet KPI’s.
- Strong written and verbal communicator, with fluent English language skills, you will provide clear and concise instructions, and undertake internal and external stakeholder interface.
- Engaging personality and well-presented, able to delegate responsibilities to ensure duties are completed.
- A strong manager who can engage fully with frontline staff (direct and contract), undertake walk-rounds, and also provide head-office support and stakeholder engagement.
- Support staff development, diversity programmes and commitment to safe working practices.
