This large government enterprise organisation has a long-term contract opportunity for an experienced backend-focussed Senior Drupal Developer to develop the Drupal backend system for multiple corporate websites.
As a senior developer it is expected that you will understand both business and technical requirements and provides suitable solutions including troubleshooting existing websites.
Within the role you will be responsible for:
- Developing high-quality software design and architecture
- Assuming technical responsibility for all stages of the software development process
- Developing tools and applications through clean, efficient code
- Design, execute and automate acceptance testing to improve the quality.
- Review and debug code and ensure software is up-to-date with the latest technologies.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent experience in the IT industry
- Expert experience in Drupal 8 and 9 including module and theme customisation work and cross-browser development.
- Experience in large scale transformation and IT projects.
- Significant experience in Drupal CI/CD and cloud technologies
- Expert knowledge of PHP 5 and PHP 7 and ability to write PHP unit tests (Gherkin/Cucumber is desirable).
- Sound knowledge and experience of web technologies including HTML/SASS/CSS/JavaScript.
- Experience working with Composer and modern package management tools
- Sound understanding in Git/Gitflow, Symfony/Silex and other PHP frameworks
- Sound understanding of Twig/Mustache/Handlebars templating
