- Drafting, review and negotiate contractual details, including specifications, price, date of delivery and contractual provisions and their subsequent administration
- Determine preliminary costings and margins in conjunction with the Director(s)
- Experienced enough to be comfortable in liaising with Builders, developers, architects and consultants.
- Evaluate and report any changes to set schedule, updating schedule to reflect this
- High level of organizational and communication skills.
- Develop project budgets in conjunction with the estimating team
- Take corrective action to resolve any problems associated with tender and estimating activities
- Initiates and/or conducts meetings with contractors concerning contractual problems as requested by Project Manager
- Contribute to the management of the project delivery
- Assist Project Managers with tender quantities and subcontractor quotes and variation pricing
- Review and propose tender opportunities for approval by Directors
- Continually review and expand Subcontractor database
- Obtain and clarify insurance, commercial, design, QA and WHSE requirements
- Measure all required quantities using Cubit software and transfer completed quantities into Buildsoft
Role Requirements:
- Construction management or relative tertiary degree
- White card
- minimum 5 years’ experience as a contract’s administrator in the building industry
- Strong and proven track record working on design & construct projects.
- Well-developed negotiation skills
- Ability to solve disputes in a professional manner
- Must have experience delivering large commercial projects
- Experience with Microsoft office products or relevant software (Build tools, Aconex)
- Ability to effectively lead and manage a small team
- Advanced knowledge of estimating strategies and techniques
- Advanced time management skills
- Strong Planning and organizational skills
